Well, its been a while since I have had a chance to share with all of you... Its been so busy lately with summer and life in general. Toss in a 2 and an almost 6 year old and there ya have it... A well needed mother of 2.. I must say however, that I owe much of my photography success to my two little ones. They motivate me everyday to keep on doing my best and loving them... Children motivate in so many different ways, and for that, we should be so thankful...I love how their little personalities can be so charming one moment and whimsical the next.

Here are 4 beautiful children that I had the chance to capture. I loved their playfulness and innocence they showed on camera as well as off. The camera loved them all...

What a fun session!! Mr. J and Mrs. H really let me have some fun with this session... Of course it got dark very quickly, but we still had fun... We did this session on one of the most hot and humid days Texas has seen yet, but you guys "Rocked" this session without a sweat. I loved the church you guys chose. The architechual structure was amazing. My hubby and I were excited to hang out after this at Razzoos and enjoyed getting to know the two of you better. These portraits were taken a while back and I finally found one I actually liked of the both of them. Siblings can be tough at times especially if their mine and both under the age of 5 and want the same toy ten times out of ten. I sure do love being a mom though when I look into their big blue eyes and see so much love.

so this poem came across my email me last night and I thought I would share it with all of you.. I thought it was really a cool poem and hits on what truly is happening in our schools.. Read and feel free to leave a comment... Enjoy..

WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA :

New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME)!
Since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer
are not allowed in most public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached
NEW School prayer : Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.
For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all.
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.
We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.
We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,

I had an interesting email sent to me and it was quite long, but very good. So on Mother's Day I thought I would share a little of it with you...

Happy Mother's Day..

The Cost of Motherhood

:Once a lady went to visit her friend. During the visit the children of the friend entered the room and began to play with each other. As the lady and her friend visited, the lady turned to her friend and said eagerly and yet with evidently no thought of the meaning of her words: “Oh, I’d give my life to have such children.” The mother replied with a subdued earnestness whose quiet told of the depth of experience out of which her words came: “That’s exactly what it costs.”

There is a cost of motherhood. And the price is no small sum. And if you are not willing to pay this price, no amount of encouragement about the joys of motherhood will satisfy.

But the price of motherhood is not fundamentally different from the price of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. In fact, Christian mothers see their duty as mothers flowing from their calling to Jesus Christ. And what is this cost?
Christian motherhood means dedicating your entire life in service of others. It means standing beside your husband, following him, and investing in the lives of children whom you hope will both survive you and surpass you. It means forgoing present satisfaction for eternal rewards. It means investing in the lives of others who may never fully appreciate your sacrifice or comprehend the depth of your love. And it means doing all these things, not because you will receive the praise of man — for you will not — but because God made you to be a woman and a mother, and there is great contentment in that biblical calling.

In other words, Motherhood requires vision. It requires living by faith and not by sight.

These are some of the reasons why Motherhood is both the most biblically noble and the most socially unappreciated role to which a young woman can aspire. There are many people who ask the question: Does my life matter? But a mother that fears the Lord need never ask such a question. Upon her faithful obedience hinges the future of the church and the hope of the nation.:

The Question:

Teacher: Susie what do you want to be when you grow up?
Susie: I want to be a doctor.
Teacher: How wonderful! And what about you Julie?
Julie: I want to be a soldier.
Teacher: How commendable! And what about you Hannah?
Hannah: When I grow up I want to be a wife and mother!
Teacher: [dead silence]...

After years of society belittling the calling of motherhood, something wonderful is happening — something wonderfully counter-cultural! In the midst of the anti-life, anti-motherhood philosophies which pervade the culture, there is a new generation of young ladies emerging whose priorities are not determined by the world’s expectations of them. They have grown up in homes where fathers shepherd them, where children are not merely welcome, but where they are deeply loved. Some of these women have been home educated, which means that many of them have grown up around babies and their mothers. They have learned to see motherhood as a joy and a high calling, because their parents see it that way.

And when asked about their future, these girls know their own minds. These are the future mothers of the Church. Young women who are not afraid to say that the goal of all of their education and training is to equip them to pursue the highest calling of womanhood, the office of wife and mother.

“Children are a blessing and the fruit of the womb is His reward.” Psalm 127:3.

Mother's day is fast approching so we did this great photoshoot that was so fun with all the grandkids.. You can see so much character in these pics. This is all the cousins or as we call it, "the bell bunch"...and of course with 7 kids it was very hard to get the perfect posed picture so we settled for character shots instead... I took alexis and sydney out for a picnic and Alexis just felt she was in a magical land.. Today I watched a video that really disdurbed me. I have always thought a lot of Oprah in all the good she does, but recently I have been very upset by what she is doing to our nation. I watched this video and felt she is leading our country into confusion and turmoil. The bible clearly states there is only one way into heaven and that is through his son, Jesus, who died on the cross for each of us. (yes even you Oprah) It is time for America to open thier eyes, thier ears and their Bible and read the truth for what it is. Not what Oprah says it is. I feel that Satan is real and is using this very wide known person to mislead people into something that is false. So I bring this video to you and ask what do you think??

red blood cells found in t rex bones

So I must be on a kick lately. This is so interesting to me and so I must share... A T-rex bones were found and still had red blood cells in them. WOW... This is amazing. They are believing that this evidence proves that dinosuars did not live millions of years ago but only a few thousand. In turn, it speaks volumes for the Bible's account of a recent creation. The picture above is from a creation museum here in Texas of fossilized dinosaur eggs. Here is a links that goes into such more depth on the issue.

An email crossed my path the other day that I loved. It was a great idea that I would love to share with all of you. You may have heard in the news that our nations Post Office has been forced to take down small posters that say 'IN GOD WE TRUST'. The law, they say, is being violated. Anyway, I heard proposed on a radio station show, that we should all write 'IN GOD WE TRUST' on the back of all our mail...after all, that is our national motto, and it's on all the money we use to buy those stamps. I think it is a wonderful idea.

We must take back our nation from all the people who think anything our founding fathers based our country on should be removed. If you like this idea, please pass it on. It has been reported that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having 'In God We Trust' on our money, having God in the pledge of Allegiance, and allowing our future generations to pray in thier schools. Could it be that WE just need to take action and tell the 14% to sit down and shut up? Lets make a statement that SHOUTS for our rights...

Our little girls first time to go bowling... She did so well.. Alexis started by kicking the ball down the lane (which we all laughted at) then she got the hang of it but didn't have much power behind it.. My husband caught site of this massive Cottonwood tree and wanted me to let every one know the saying is true that "its bigger in Texas"... The only way for me to have captured this site was to ask my husband to get up in it. So after a huge jump up I got a shot. Of couse I couldn't capture the entire thing but I tried...

Today, My husband decided to take us to the park as it was beautiful today..(very little wind and around 70 all day)... When we arrived, we found a little surprise the beavers had left us. Later on our little hike we found one of the 5 nests of these little guys.. What a massive home they build..I always think its amazing how God created each little animal to have a purpose in the large world and know exactly what they were created for.

Podering upon the new year, I wanted to think about what is important to me and the new year's resolutions.. Going though all my pictures I came across a couple pictures that I would love to share with you, Although they are a bit patriotic. The one above of the flag was shot with a 35 mm camera and was developed and this was the end result. There is not any digital enhancements done on this picture.

Another that was brought to my heart was the one called God's hands (below).

This one was taken on the side of the road. All I can say is that I was in awe for several hours after seeing it. Maybe its just me being in my emotional stage of pregnacny but I thought I would share anyway.. I hope you enjoy seeing these and to all of you, have a happy and safe new year.... See you in 2008...

Christmas morning was so fun in our house this year. It was the first year Alexis understood how santa worked, When she woke up she forgot it was christmas unitl she saw Santas cookies eaten. Alexis was in her flamingo jammies (her favorites...she would live in them if I let her)..... And I just loved her mischevious look in this picture... My "Lil' Brother...

On Christmas day my lil brother asked me to take a photo of him for my partents. I thought I would share...I am still working on my photography hobby and hoping for a new camera soon..

So this is my "lil" brother by 8 years and he is still so much taller than me... I am kinda the runt of the family... He is 6'1. My older brother by 15 months is 6' and my dad is 6'1. So I am thinking.. Why am I 5'4??? That is my thought for the day... My mom isn't so short either.. shes 5'8 so I guess I will just have to be the shorty of the family.... Of couse my hubby likes it cause he's only 5'10... But my daughter must get the height from my family since she's 3 and is off the growth chart...

I got a gig doing some school photos and thought it would only take a short while... Well, it took a bit longer... But needless to say I enjoyed it greatly and a lot of families were delighted that they got to pass out their children's photos at Christmas...I am still in a learning arena but everyone was happy... I love how this picture turned out as I put a bit of pink into it for a sweeter look. I would like to say a BIG thank you to all the families who allowed me to photograph their children this holiday.

Our little princess, Alexis, turned 3 last week. She had so much fun playing with all her friends. Thank you to all who came and made it such a fun day for all of us. She recieved a special hug from Chuck E. Cheese and is such a "big girl" riding her new bike!! And of course enjoyed her cupcake cake... She did not want to go home... But slept like an angel that night....LOL..

Its been a while since I have written. What can I say other than an incredible summer. With school starting up soon I will begin working again on several fall and holiday sets. I have had so much fun with my daughter Alexis and all my mommy lunches. We finally set up our pool a few months ago and Alexis begs everyday to go out. Of couse we go, when I do not have morning sickness, although for me its been a bit more of all day sickness..These are a few quick pictures of my little girl this summer growing up so fast.. Before I know it she'll be ready for school.

Recently I was going through some photos and found this one I had taken at my husband's grandmothers home. It was so peaceful that I thought I would share. This is with no editing, staight out of the camera. The colors were so beautiful and vivid. God is an amazing artist.
